Die Wangari-Maathai-Internationale-Schule ist eine \u00f6ffentliche internationale Schule in Berlin, die auf die Bed\u00fcrfnisse von Sch\u00fclern aus aller Welt eingeht und ihnen eine anspruchsvolle bilinguale Ausbildung in Englisch und Deutsch bietet, die auf deutschen und internationalen Lehrpl\u00e4nen basiert.<\/p>\n

Unsere Namensgeberin, die in Kenia geborene Nobelpreistr\u00e4gerin Wangari Maathai, setzte sich leidenschaftlich f\u00fcr nachhaltige Entwicklung, Frieden und Demokratie ein. Wir haben unsere Schule nach dieser gro\u00dfartigen Frau benannt, weil wir unsere Sch\u00fcler dazu ermutigen wollen, sich ebenso leidenschaftlich und authentisch f\u00fcr unsere Welt einzusetzen.<\/p>\n

Wir f\u00f6rdern k\u00fcnstlerische Begabungen im Bega-Programm und bieten vertiefte Lernm\u00f6glichkeiten f\u00fcr Sch\u00fclerinnen und Sch\u00fcler mit besonderen Begabungen in natur- oder geisteswissenschaftlichen, sprachlichen, musikalischen, digitalen, handwerklichen, sportlichen oder k\u00fcnstlerischen Bereichen.
